Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data this website processes, why, and what rights you have over it, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

Name: Jaime Elso de Blas
Contact email: [email protected]

2. What data is processed, and why

Contact form (on the About page). If you use the contact form, I process the email address, subject, and message you provide, for the sole purpose of responding to your inquiry. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam (see section 4). Submitting the form is understood as consent to process this data for that purpose; you can withdraw it at any time by contacting me at the email address above. This data is kept only for as long as necessary to handle the inquiry and is not used for any other purpose, sold, or shared with third parties beyond the processors listed in section 3.

Analytics. This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool that does not use cookies or store any personal identifiers about visitors, and only reports aggregated, anonymous traffic statistics (page views, referrers, countries). Because it does not process personal data or access information stored on your device, no cookie consent banner is shown on this website.

No other analytics, advertising, or tracking tool is used.

3. Who processes this data

Amazon Web Services (AWS) — the contact form is processed by a serverless backend (API Gateway, Lambda, SNS) I have built and operate on AWS, described in this article. AWS acts as a data processor for the contact-form submissions.
Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts and serves this website, and provides the cookieless analytics described above.

Both providers may process data on infrastructure located outside the European Economic Area; both offer standard contractual safeguards for international data transfers under their respective data processing terms.

4. Third-party services

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated abuse. Loading it may involve Google processing some technical data (e.g. your IP address) under Google's own privacy policy. This is only loaded on the page containing the contact form.

5. Data retention

Contact-form messages are kept only for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, and are not retained for longer than necessary.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact me at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the website evolves. The date below reflects the last revision.
